Bug Yarn, Anyone?

Saw this photo of a Hickory Horned Devil caterpillar yesterday (which, btw, will morph into a lovely Royal Walnut Moth (Citheronia regalis)), & was inspired to do some dyeing. Check out the result.

I give you: 'Hickory Horned Devil', one pound of hand-dyed Rambouillet-Merino-Targhee top, ready to be spun up into some buggy, Halloween-y yarn. I'm digging it, how about you?

It came out with more undyed spots than I'd planned, so today I'm experimenting to get fuller coverage. I'm working on a purple-black-orange combo today. We'll see...
