Scores galore on the stash front last week. The handspun from Monique of Herba Lana, my upstream partner for the Spin Me a Treasure handspun swap, finally arrived from Belgium. She sent it in December, so I guess it was on a slow boat; she'll be glad to hear that it arrived safely after all this time. There are two skeins of a mohair/wool blend, and a skein of wool, both are single ply. Thanks, Monique!
1. Herba Lana handspun, 2. Unlabeled, 3. Unlabeled, 4. Colinette_SilkyChic/Tagliatelli
I found the unlabeled cone of pink variegated synthetic and the two balls of similar blue at the thrift store last week; in total they set me back a mere $4! Should be good for plying.
And the Colinette I ordered from Julipoolies on eBay got here Saturday. I picked up both a skein of Silky Chic and one of Tagliatelli in my favorite colorway: Jamboree. I think the former, knit up on huge needles, should make a nice boa. Some of each is destined for my Freeform Knitting 365 project. Not sure what I'll do with the Tagliatelli.
Finally, the box of mohair I bought from Rachel W. through the KnitSwap group got here, crammed-full as advertised. That's a whole lotta mohair! Today I split each skein, and I'm sending half of each to Village Knittiot for her Freeform Knitting 365 project, which she is knitting entirely in mohair, as a belated birthday present.
