Wheee!! Summer Knitty is OUT!

I always anxiously await the arrival of each new issue of Knitty, the online knitting mag par excellance, and the summer issue is HERE! Yeah!

The focus in this issue is "Cover Your Extremities" and as you might guess, it is chockablock full of sock, glove, and hat patterns. For science nerds, there's the Klein Bottle Hat. Kids and kids at heart get Allete Fairy Wings. But my favorites are the Lickety Split Toe Socks and the Sock Monkey Hat. Together.

There are several interesting articles. I was disappointed that the one on Knitting podcasts didn't mention Jacey's Insubordiknit 'cast, but you can't have everything.

For spinners, there's three KnittySpin features: a Coils Tutorial (which I desperately need, a review of SpinOut 2006, and a How-to for attending sheep & wool festivals, complete with a schedule of where/when. Yummy.
