Giant Knit Rug!

I found this via the Crazy for Knitting Group on flickr. Flocks (aka Dutch artist Christien Meindertsma) knits and sells amazing stuff, but this was my fave: a rug knit from 18 merino sheep! Go visit her site, and read her story, and be sure to check out the Poof.

Do you think I can get the Cole Man to make me some needles like this? I think I can!

But I'd better give him a chance to rest up from putting up our Xmas lights last night. He strung the big ones I like for me, and this is the first time I've had outdoor lights as an adult. This photo was taken last night at sunset, which was beautiful (although you can't tell from my rather crappy photo).

Last night was also our weekly Purl 'n Hurl gathering, and although there were only 3 of us there this week, a good time was had by all. I put up a bunch of photos on flickr of the last couple of PnH meetings (I got behind; sue me); this one is of me and Eileen last night. Check out other PnH photos here, and our blog here. For any locals reading, be sure to check out the invite to next week's CHRISTMAYULESTIVUSOLSTIKWANZUKKAH Yarn Gift Exchange.
