MIA Velma

Ok, I've been absent from these parts. I've been down, and I don't like to whine, so I just disappeared from the scene. Not the best way to deal with it, but whatever. I'm back. (And thanks to those who checked up on me in my absence; you helped.)

Just a few tidbits.

Sophie turned 3 on the 18th (isn't she cute?). At the last Arcata Farmer's Market of 2006. The band got the crowd to sing her Happy Birthday! Good times were had by all.

Cole made me some knitting needles from this pattern at Knitter's Review. Isn't he the best? I'll have to take a picture soon.

My Thanksgiving was great fun. How about yours?

Apologies to my SP9 Secret Pal for being AWOL for so long. You know who you are. My bad, my bad. :(

Rebecca says I need this, and I do.

There is a Knitting Nun who makes "little men to adorn drink bottles". I love it.

Oh, and I finished the felted cloche. Here it is, although it needs more felting. The pin is from eBay. I'll try not to stay gone so long this time.

  5. thanks all, for your kind welcome-back's.

holly, i bought 2 big lots of enamel flower pins on ebay recently; i'm thinking of making a bunch of felted hats, and thought they'd compliment them well. this is the 1st, to give me a sense of what i'm shooting for.

thx lynn, glad you've been finding me on flickr. those 2 365-day projects force me to at least have a presence there. but i haven't spun in weeks...

didn't see another comment, bea, but hope to see you tomorrow at PnH.

becky, i'll tell cole you liked the needles.

    thanks, all!! xoxoxoxox

    Hi Velma!

I LOVE the felted cloche! I've determined that the only 'grown up' hats that look good on me are indeed the cloches, and I. need. one. Did you make up the pattern, or find it somewhere?

At any rate, a package is on it's way to you!
